A LUXURY HOTEL CONCEPT

a concept design project for a luxury hotel in las vegas — where the 1920s meets an Indiana Jones temple

  • In 1834, Alabaster Sprang, an American scientist and engineer, unlocked the secret to time travel. He began to travel back and forth across the centuries in order to gain more knowledge and understanding of those who came before and those who would come after him. He traveled to ancient Egypt, Rome, the Roaring 20s — with its elegant Art Deco movement — He watched the city of Dubai develop rapidly and quite successfully in the middle of a vast desert in the early 2000s, and stopped in the 2100s as humanity was finally becoming symbiotic with nature in order to keep from collapsing.

With his newly-found, eye-opening knowledge, Alabaster decided to try out the idea of a man-made, self-sustaining oasis in the Nevada desert. He wanted to capture the essence of his most favorite design style combined with the engineering feats that he had seen on his travels. Thus, Terra was born…”

The project sits on a site of about 38.73 acres, totaling around 1,686,869 sq. ft..

My team of four consisted of myself (Concept Art), Robby Palmer (3D Modeling), Alyssa Phillips (Master Planning), and Harshitha Uddagiri (Hotel Rooms design).
